I am deeply committed to a sustainable human presence on this planet, and to the establishment of physical, economic, and social structures that will permit us to live well and prosperously without impoverishing or exploiting either our neighbors (human or not) on this earth, or future generations of planetary citizens.

I enact this in my own life through certain personal practices such as vegetarianism, use of human-powered and collective transport, recycling, and highly-considered purchasing decisions; I promote this publicly through my 'zines, The New Colonist and Bicycle Fixation, and through the work I do for companies and organizations that promote sustainable urban development, mass transit, simpler living, advanced energy technologies, and more.
